Just a few example of some portrait head shots that are used for a corporate setting. These photos are used for profile such as advertisement and social media as well as others. This is where the client will meet you first and you want to appear to be a warm open minded person that welcomes their attention and company.
Thank you to everyone who could make it out to my Ribbon Cutting for Jwayne Productions Videography Services at the Chamber of Commerce Yesterday! I know we will love the activities the Chamber will offer us and the networking with other business! Looking forward to a long wonderful life with the chamber!
1. What is the First Thing I Should Buy?a CameraWell this should be fairly obvious depending on what field you are looking to get into. Whether you are looking to get into photography or videography will greatly decide what you first need to get. The first piece of equipment is Obviously a CAMERA. You will want to pick one for your style of shooting. If you are looking to mainly Photography, than obviously you will want a better DSLR camera like a Canon 60D or Higher (im a Canon Fan "Sorry Nikon Fans"). If you are looking to do more Videography, then you would want to look at a 3CCD Camcorder perhaps.
However there is a fine line In cameras and this decision will affect your whole business later down the road. If you are looking to shoot documentary's or news reports, then you will want a ENG Style camcorder or a 3CCD. If you are shooting shorter, more controlled clips then you might want to look into a DSLR with Video features such as the Canon T2i or Higher. DSLR's have to focused manually (Some DSLR's have auto focus video mode but are not to good yet) and there for take a lot of practice to get right. The biggest draw back on DSLR's are that they can only record 12 minutes at a time and then stop. Some may record longer but not by much. Just simply hit record immediately after and it will begin again. You will want to look into the specs of a few different camera's before deciding because depending on which camera you purchase, you will want to buy accessories that will help that specific camera type/line and not others. So PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do your research before buying. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/01/23/portlandia-indie-wedding_n_1224553.html
The IdeaThe idea of the 30 day challenge is to take at least 1 photo each day. it can range from a simple snap shot to a well prepared photograph or even more. The idea is to get photographers to start seeing more creative shots, to help plan out their shots and visualize what the shot will look like before they even touch a camera. This method is widely used throughout all the world and some people even go for a 365 day challenge. But me? I would forget ha ha, so i'm sticking with something a little more down to earth and on my scale. So for 30 days starting today 12/7/2012 i will take & edit 1 photograph every day for the next 30 days until 1/6/2013. These photos will vary from black and white, color, portrait, nature, macros, subversive, etc... Subscribe to my RSS feed or like my Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/Jwayneproductions to follow along with my 30 day challenge, and even post some of your work to my site with the title "MY 30 Day Challenge" and lets do it together! READY.....SET.....GO!!!
