The IdeaThe idea of the 30 day challenge is to take at least 1 photo each day. it can range from a simple snap shot to a well prepared photograph or even more. The idea is to get photographers to start seeing more creative shots, to help plan out their shots and visualize what the shot will look like before they even touch a camera. This method is widely used throughout all the world and some people even go for a 365 day challenge. But me? I would forget ha ha, so i'm sticking with something a little more down to earth and on my scale. So for 30 days starting today 12/7/2012 i will take & edit 1 photograph every day for the next 30 days until 1/6/2013. These photos will vary from black and white, color, portrait, nature, macros, subversive, etc... Subscribe to my RSS feed or like my Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/Jwayneproductions to follow along with my 30 day challenge, and even post some of your work to my site with the title "MY 30 Day Challenge" and lets do it together! READY.....SET.....GO!!! Day 1: A Peary ChristmasI wanted to take this photo because i had an idea for a Christmas card for Best Coupons Magazine. Their main logo is a Pear and we try to incorporate a pear into most of their work. I took this photo with a Canon 60D and a 50mm f1.8 set at f2.8 and ISO 200, Shutter 1/60th of a sec and edited inside Light Room 4. There is a small Christmas Tree sitting in a chair behind the desk to create the green BG with light Bokeh. Day 2: Lounging LizardI really liked the way this image turned out, the way the lizard allowed me to get close to him and take his photo. He was a great model and loved the camera! I took this on my 60D with my kit lens of 18-135 f3.5-5.6, Shot at f.11, ISO 1000, with a shutter of 250 and my 580ex II with a Gary Fong Dome Adapter. I took a photo of a lizard when i was just starting out in photography and just got my first camera (probably one of my first few shots with the camera) and wanted to try to get a better one now that i know even more. Below is the photo i took when i was just starting out. Ill Let you be the judge on which one is better but i like the one above much better! Day 3: Ashes to Ashes![]() I Took this photo again with my Kit lens of 18-135 mm at f/5.6 at ISO 2500 with a shutter of 1/250 with a bounced light from my 580ex II in the background. I love fire and the way it dances around freely, if you ever watch it, it sometimes looks like one of those hula girls ha ha. But i wanted to try and take this photo as a grunge type photo. I love grunge photography and think that the destructive look is actually very creative, especially in photographs. As i am only 3 days into my 30 day challenge, i am constantly thinking of really cool photo ideas for later on and am trying to go out of my way to experiment with new shots that i never had the time (or somehow convinced myself i never had the time) TO ACTUALLY DO. Day 4: Dec The HallsShot these with my 50mm 1.8 at f/2.8 shutter 250, ISO 200 and flash in the background. I was lighting up my Christmas Tree and remembered seeing a small collage of ornaments from one site and always wanted to shoot some like it but never had the time to put them up just for a shoot. So instead of just 1 photo today here is 3 of my ornaments from our Christmas tree!
