ePhoto Pro Studio Video 4500W Lighting Kit....(Product Review)

Today i am reviewing the ePhoto Pro Studio Video 4500W Light kit. This specific kit can be found on amazon.com at http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005NJIWYY/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00 for only $189.99

1. How long have i used the product?

I bought the kit back in may of 2012, and have been using them for all on my traveling video shoots. I shoot a lot of virtual tours for apartment complexes and also do a lot of interviews. For the past 5 months this kit has been my only source of continuous lighting in most of my videos. 

2. Why would you want this?

I bought the kit because i only had one other light source from Cowboy Studios. When i originally landed a few jobs i decided i needed some additional lighting to help light the rooms i was going to be filming. I thought for the price and the Wattage it produced, this kit was a steal! For about $200.00 i received three lights and a carrying case. So, for the videographer on a budget this kit was more then perfect to fit my needs for my jobs and would suggest anyone looking to buy a cheap TEMPORARY kit to look into this one. 

3. What all come with the kit?

The kit comes with three Light Lights all together. 3 Light stands, 3 Light Heads (Holds 5 bulbs Each) 15 Bulbs, 3 Large Soft boxes with diffusers, 1 Carrying case, and Cords for power. 

4. Pros & Cons of kit.

Pros:
1. The kit produces 4500W of light (1500W Each light)
2. The kit only costs $189.99 from amazon and very affordable to buy 2 or three sets compared to other light kits on the market. 
3. The kit comes well packaged and also includes a carry case to transport easily from one location to the next
4. They are very very bright and produce florescent lighting. 
5. PERFECT for videographer on a budget.
6. Lights up whole rooms and illuminates subjects very easily. 
7. required no knowledge of lighting to understand how to operate.
Cons:
1. Light stands do not seem to lock down and legs will slide up and down if not properly set
2. Light stands are flimsy and can easily break
3. Lights are very top heavy and will fall over if not weighed down with sand bags (cheap)
4. carry case is made out of cheap material and will rip after a few uses
5. Kit does not include manual or set up instructions (not very hard to figure out)
6. Soft boxes seem to break at the Velcro after many uses
7. light heads are cheaply made and can fall apart after heavy use
8. bulbs cost $20 each or $30 for 2 @ Cowboy Studios
9. Lights take on average 30 minutes to set up & about 45 minutes to PROPERLY place back in boxes

5.Overall Review

Overall, i think the lights are fantastic for starters/beginners or even videographers on a budget. the overall price can't be beaten for the amount of watts the kit produces and how great these work. 
Depending on what you would need the lights for, i would suggest buying a separate Boom light stand and light to get a nice overhead light when interviews people. Similar to the one from cowboy studios at  
http://www.cowboystudio.com/product_p/2000wboomkit.htm for $200.00. I personally own Both kits and love them both! 
So if your looking for a cheap and affordable light kit for your video or even photos, i would highly recommend these lights. Just be careful with them because cheap prices = cheap quality!
